Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct 25th 2012

There are only a few more days remaining before people begin to hoist their sales up
on the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. As expected, many local businesses
are making sure to have everything prepared in time for the show.

Most of the local business who are excited about the Fort Lauderdale International
Boat Show include marine businesses and companies which provide services to the
many exhibitors who will be partaking in the event alongside event planners as well
as local transportation companies.

Many consider the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to be a truly significant
event — not only for the city of Fort Lauderdale but also for the economy of South
Florida as a whole, especially since it has been known to generate as much as a $500
million impact on the state economy.

There are around 100,000 event attendees each year. In 2012, the event will be set to
run at six city sites from Thursday, the 25th of October, all the way through until the
following Monday, the 29th of October.

One of the companies who have been able to take part in the show over the years is
the Elite Tent Co. in Hollywood which will be providing over 100 tents for this year’s
show. Over the years, the company has been working alongside Show Management,
the producer of the show, in order to provide 300 smaller tents which are needed for
the event.

According to the owner of the company, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
generates around 15 to 20 percent of Elite’s annual business which is a sizable amount
for the company, especially since it is also the largest event that the company does on
an annual basis.

Another company based in North Miami called Dockside Corporate Services has also
noted that the show creates around 80 to 85 percent of the company’s business saying
that the producer of the show is indeed one of their major clients whom they provide
recruitment, training, and management of guest service greeters for the event.

Naturally, many other local business are looking forward to the show which is sure to
provide substantial profitability for companies — including hotels, restaurants, as well
as transportation companies.

In fact, local businesses have already been seeing an increase in their activity as soon
as exhibitors made their early arrivals in the city. Needless to say, the pace is sure to
pick up as soon as the show opens on Thursday, the 25th of October.

The show’s producer, Show Management, will be providing free riverboat rides from
the Las Olas Riverfront to the Bahia Mar Yachting Center for all ticket holders. Water
taxi routes are expected to cost $10 per day for a single-day pass.
